I'm Thankful Four          Helping NorthWood students since 2004

Here comes I'm Thankful Four #8

It's hard to believe that it has been seven years since Kelsey Mikel passed away following an auto accident on August 20, 2004.  The communities of Wakarusa and Nappanee were so supportive of the Mikel family during the days, weeks, and months that followed.  Since then hundreds have joined us each Thanksgiving morning to walk or run the 4 miles or 2 miles that helps us celebrate not just Kelsey's life and legacy of giving, but life itself.  The Kelsey Mikel Memorial Foundation has been able to provide NorthWood students with over $38,000 in scholarships and other assistance since 2004.  Thank you for your generosity, your support, and your love.

Pilgrims and Indians

New this year will be an addition to our popular "Beat the Turkey" competition.  As always there will be a male and a female Turkey designated, and anyone who finished the four mile course in front of the Turkey of their gender will win a unique "I'm Thankful Four" folding chair.  This year, dress up like a Pilgrim or an Indian, and the first male and female Pilgrim and Indian will also win chairs.  Let's make it a great Thanksgiving together and show the world how grateful we are for the blessings of life.
